Wednesday, February 22nd ’17 – award-winning luxury Persian rug designer, Hossein Rezvani was in attendance for the Global Green 14th annual pre-Oscar fundraiser at TAO in Hollywood. ‘Tabriz Eco’ carpet was the highlight at the auction on the star-studded night, selling to an un-named attendee for $25,000.
The event honored Tribal Chairman of the Standing Rock Indian Reservation, David Archambault II, among others, and was a bold show of community in the face of the increasing threat to our environment and way of life. Various high profile attendees gave speeches, including an impassioned oration about Standing Rock from legendary activist Jane Fonda.
Rezvani’s one-of-a-kind stunning Persian carpet was inspired by the high profile explorer and photographer, Sebastian Copeland, a co-founder of Global Green.
Notable attendees included Orlando Bloom, Oliver Stone, Jeff Bridges, Paula Abdul, James Van Der Beek, Ed Begley Jr., Ryan Guzman, Garcelle Beauvais, John Salley, Ed O’Neill, Rachel Griffiths, and Madelaine Petsch. Taylor Dayne, Estelle, and Cody Simpson performed throughout the night.
