Kerman has been a major center for the production of high quality carpets since the 15th century. Since then Kerman’s designers have been the most inventive and their weaving techniques of a sophistication not seen in other parts of the Persian empire. In the 18th century some authors considered the carpets from the province to be the finest of all Persian carpets. Hossein Rezvani has taken the Kerman design to the 21-st century by giving it a fresh contemporary look. Kerman is offered with a knot density of 400.000 knots per sqm using Persian highland wool and pure natural silk. The silkshare goes up to 70%.
